Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup hot pepper jelly
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh herbs such as chives or parsley
  • 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg beaten

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and hot pepper jelly.
  3. Add in the fresh herbs and mix until combined well.
  4. Form small balls from the cheese mixture, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Roll each ball in the beaten egg, then in the crushed crackers or breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange the coated balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with additional hot pepper jelly.
