Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup shredded cheese like cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares or circles, about 4 inches wide.
  4. In a bowl, combine the shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place a tablespoon of filling onto each pastry piece.
  6. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  8. Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
