Refreshing Apple Cider Sangria for Fall Gatherings

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 bottle dry white wine Chardonnay recommended
  • 1 cup brandy
  • 2 cups chopped apples e.g., Granny Smith, Honeycrisp
  • 1 cup orange slices
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup optional
  • 2 cups ginger ale or club soda for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large pitcher, combine apple cider, white wine, and brandy.
  2. Add in the chopped apples and orange slices.
  3. Sprinkle in the cinnamon and stir well.
  4. If desired, drizzle in the maple syrup to adjust sweetness.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if time allows.
  6. Just before serving, top the mixture with ginger ale or club soda.
  7. Serve in glasses garnished with additional apple slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
