Grease a baking dish and layer half of the sliced potatoes evenly on the bottom.
Pour half of the cream mixture over the first layer of potatoes, followed by half the cheese.
Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese on top.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving.
