Deliciously Tangy Greek Yogurt Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan by greasing it and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, granulated sugar, and eggs until fully combined.
  3. Add vegetable oil and vanilla extract to the mixture, whisking until smooth and uniform in color.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
