Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes before poking holes with a fork.
Mix the chopped strawberries with a bit of sugar for 5 minutes and then pour over the cooled cake.
In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake before serving.
