Delicious Amish Country Casserole Recipe

This hearty Amish Country Casserole offers comforting layers of rich flavors and satisfying textures, ideal for family gatherings and cozy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups egg noodles uncooked
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
  4. Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables and garlic powder.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the beef mixture with the cream of mushroom soup and uncooked egg noodles.
  6. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
