Ingredients

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, applesauce, and egg until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, ensuring not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently into the batter.
  6. Grease a donut pan or use a silicone donut mold to prevent sticking.
  7. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
